PROPOSED NEW HOUSE PLOT

LAND 25m NORTH OF GARLOWBANK, KINNORDY, KIRRIEMUIR DD8 4LH

Planning permission has been agreed in principle, (Planning ref: 24/00616/APPL) for a proposed new house plot at Garlowbank. Although no detailed design has been carried out at this stage, the application approved is for a 11/2 storey house. The site is located East of the Angus town Kirriemuir. A charming town with winding streets and is known as the Gateway to the Glens making it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful braes of Angus.

The detailed design of the property will be subject to a further approval.

The plot has the B957 running along the north of the site, a gentle slope from North to South and is surrounded by panoramic views of the Angus Countryside. Access to the site will remail as existing, and is on the eastern boundary

Kirriemuir is well placed for access to the Dundee/Aberdeen A90 dual carriageway for roads both north and south.

Kirriemuir, locally known as Kirrie, is a small town 5 miles north of Forfar. Kirriemuir's most famous son was the author JM Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan. His birthplace, now owned by the National Trust of Scotland, contains an imaginative exhibition featuring life-size figures, theatre posters and stage costumes. There is a statue of Peter Pan in the middle of the town.

Barrie gifted a camera obscura to the people of the town from which you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Birdwatchers will enjoy a visit to the nearby Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) reserve at Loch of Kinnordy, home to many wetland birds, viewable from hides and boardwalks.
