5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area around The Mercian is very convenient and enjoyable to live in. There are many shops, restaurants, cafés and bars within walking distance, which makes daily life very easy. Public transport connections are excellent, with buses and tram stops nearby, and the city centre is easily accessible. Despite being in a lively location, the building itself feels well managed and secure. The street is generally clean and well maintained, and noise levels are reasonable for a city-centre development. I would also like to mention the helpful staff, especially Moses and Peter, who have been friendly and supportive, contributing positively to the overall living experience in this area.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management team has been responsive and helpful when questions or issues are raised. Communication is clear, and requests can be submitted easily through the system. Staff members follow up in a timely manner and make an effort to resolve matters efficiently, which gives confidence in the ongoing management of the building.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing worth knowing before moving in is that this is a well-organised, professionally managed city-centre development, so processes such as maintenance requests and building access are structured and system-based. It helps to familiarise yourself with the resident portal early on. The location is lively and convenient, which is great for daily life, while the building itself remains secure and well managed.

Transport links are excellent with buses, trams and New Street station nearby, so getting around Birmingham is easy. The area feels lively and central, but this can also be a downside as Broad Street gets very busy and noisy at night, especially on weekends.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has been very responsive and professional, usually addressing any issues quickly and keeping communication clear throughout the process. The concierge team is also on hand to help with Peter and Moses on nights
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
