Description
The property opens into an entrance hallway with a cloakroom and some useful storage cupboards; stairs lead to the first floor. The dual aspect sitting room is to the left of the property and benefits from French doors which lead into the lovely rear garden. The kitchen diner is to the right of the hallway and again is a dual aspect room with ample space for a dining table. The kitchen area is fitted with a great range of units including pull-out storage and inbuilt double oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. A cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation.
The first floor has a light and spacious landing area, the master bedroom benefits from an en suite shower room. There are two further well-proportioned bedrooms and a family bathroom which is fitted with a modern white suite.
Externally, the property has a small garden to the front with driveway parking to the side of the house which leads to the single garage. The rear garden is enclosed and is of a good size. The main part of the garden is laid to lawn with some borders which are stocked with a variety of shrubs. The patio area has been recently added and is well placed in the garden to take part of the day in shade and the evening in the sun. In addition, there is a secluded corner, which gets sun almost all day and is low maintenance with a real feel of the Mediterranean. The garden also provides access into the garage and has gated access to the driveway.
Shrivenham is one of the larger villages within the Vale of the White Horse and without question one of the most desirable in the area, with a thriving community. The village is located circa 5 miles north-east of Swindon and circa 5 miles south-west of the market town of Faringdon. The village is ideally located for access to the M4 (8 minutes away) and the A420 leading to Oxford and beyond. In addition to the Memorial Hall on the corner of Highworth Road and newly built primary school and pre-school in Raven Way, there is a lovely tree-lined high street with shops, restaurants, public houses, a doctors’ surgery, chemist, Methodist church and parish church. There is a frequent bus service through the village from Swindon to Oxford and back, linking to rail services and airports.
