    Safe area, a lot of restaurants and bar around, shopping mall in Canary Wharf Traffic from the DLR is a little bit loud

    They always responded quickly and were happy to help.

    That it takes longer than I thought to go to the city. That people pay extremely differently for the same studios per month

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Very close to two DLR stations but that sometimes means you can hear the trains outside the window at all hours. Also really close to a Tesco Express and Co-Op, and round the corner from Asda.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Yes problems got fixed quickly, you can easily report issues to maintenance and they’ll come within a few hours.

    I wish I’d known just how small the flat was and that the unusual layout means storage space is limited e.g under the bed

    One of the best places // locations // neighborhoods I've ever lived in. Superlative transit connectedness. Abundant, convient access to grab + go (food) shops. Quiet, clean, safe-feeling neighborhood.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    This is effectively the ONLY minor inconvience I've experienced -- the *process* for handling a concern of mine was indirect, delayed, and tied up within a chain of individuals. 99 times out of 100, however, they are EXCELLENT at immediately, meaningfully, and effectively resolving (ANY) concerns that arise.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Not that this (negatively) impacts my experience -- in any way; NOT that I feel remiss to have not known this going in; the ONLY thing that was important to accept // internalize // work-with // etc is the *dual operational nature* of the property (i.e. the split between residencies and short-term accomodations). This comes with pros and cons. Overall, for myself, I find it to be a boon.

    I really like living at the ARK for the convenience of having Canary Wharf and Canada square so close for shopping. The area and people in the building management are wonderful. However there are times especially on weekends where weekend guests make a noise from a weekend party or whatever.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    When business commenced in the new year, the maintenance issues were attended to within the week

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    That ventilation is an issue on the upper floors especially the 15th

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Living a short walk from Canary Wharf with easy access to the DLR makes for a very easy commute to work and the airport when travelling. Great access to some of the better restaurants and bars in London, while also being in one of the safest areas in the city. Parking is readily available (for a fee) but the DLR can be noisy - this will be rectified when the new trains go into service (soon…) Traffic noise is none existent and the area is generally well kept.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Attentively and with pace - issues are resolved fairly fast

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    The short stay situation. The building is definitely held back from its potential with guests who don’t treat the building as a home - thus not looking after the place.
