We asked the vendors about their lovely property and this is what they had to say.

1. ‎What attracted you to the property when you bought it ?

When we first viewed the house, it immediately stood out from everything else we had seen.
It had been refurbished to a high specification, with a new boiler, underfloor heating, and a beautifully finished kitchen with integrated appliances, including a dishwasher and fridge.
I especially loved the fact that the washing machine had its own separate space in the kitchen, behind a door, which kept the noise down.
Both upstairs bedrooms were a great size, and the whole place felt modern, thoughtfully designed, and well cared for.

At that stage, many of the properties we were viewing seemed to need a lot of work, but this house felt different, like somewhere we could move straight into without months of disruption or stress.
It felt like a home from the moment we walked in, and that feeling has stayed with us ever since.

2. What improvements have you made to the house ?

Because the house was already finished to such a high standard, there was very little that needed improving.
We did, however, install part of the front fence, as it wasn’t there originally.
We also recently repainted the interior to keep it feeling fresh and welcoming, and replaced the carpets, which made a noticeable difference.
All of the work we carried out was done with care and respect for the property, as it meant a great deal to us during our time there.

3. What have you enjoyed about living there ?

What we will miss most is how peaceful and calm it is. The neighbourhood is wonderfully quiet, we’ve never had issues with noise or the kind of disruption that can come with busier areas. There’s a real sense of calm here that makes you really look forward to coming home.

The house itself has been a joy to live in. The kitchen with the bi-fold doors has always been the heart of the home for us, a space we’ve loved cooking in, whether it’s everyday meals or hosting friends and family. The property is incredibly solid and well built, and we have never had any issues with damp or mould, making it a consistently pleasant home throughout the year.

Tonbridge is a lovely place to live, and one of the biggest joys has been having such close access to "Woodlands Walk", which is a tree-lined open space literally a few meters from our doorstep, (both ends leading to beautiful parks).
As dog owners, this has been invaluable for daily dog walks, or relaxed afternoon strolls with friends and family.
This has become a daily part of our routine and some of our happiest moments.

Leaving this home is genuinely sad for us. It’s been a place of comfort, peace, and everyday happiness.

Location

The property is conveniently located for the popular Woodlands school and is only minutes from a local shopping parade and bus routes into Tonbridge town centre.

Tonbridge is a thriving market town that has developed over the centuries. It boasts a fine example of a 'Motte and Bailey' Norman castle built in the 13th century, set on the banks of the river Medway with the castle grounds abutting Tonbridge Park offering covered/open air swimming pool, tennis courts, children's play areas, miniature railway, putting etc.

Tonbridge town offers an excellent range of retail and leisure activities with many High Street stores and a full complement of banks and building societies, together with a selection of coffee shops, restaurants and local inns.

The mainline station provides fast commuter links into London (Cannon Street/London Bridge/Charing Cross in approximately 40 minutes) with road links to the M20 & M25 motorways via the nearby A26 and A21. Tonbridge offers a full scale of education from Nursery to College and includes Grammar & Private schools such as the world-renowned Tonbridge School.
