The Vulcan Arms is a two storey corner property of brick elevations (part rendered), beneath pitched tiled and flat roofs. The Vulcan benefits from two trading areas over the ground floor, which briefly comprises a front entrance hall leading to the Lounge Bar, with a timber bar servery, perimeter seating and raised stage area. The public bar is accessed from a side door and benefits from bar servery, space for pool table, perimeter seating and darts throw. The inner hallway provides access to the Ladies and Gents W.C.s and rear access door. A  now disused function room is also situated over the first floor.
