11 years ago we walked through the un-assuming front door and immediately we were hit by the spacious and bright rooms and the beautiful view over lovely garden and huge grounds. We felt at home instantly. The day we moved in we ripped up the carpet and to our amazement found the original parquet floor, it needed some restoration, but we were game. We installed fitted bookshelves, a downstairs shower room, garden decking, a new kitchen and floor tiles that worked with the wooden flooring. All external windows and doors have also been replaced. The South facing garden is a total suntrap and opening all the bi-fold doors is a dream in the Summer. The garage and the outside utility rooms that store bikes and washing machine/dryer are so useful. The bedroom balcony has more stunning views across the grounds which end in a small private woodland owned by the Parish. The gardens also host our yearly Wellbank Bake Off, where the 12 houses here battle it out to make the best cake etc. and have a catch up, entirely optional but lots of fun.

We had only moved from across the road as we knew we wanted to stay in this friendly and fun village, which has a yearly Hog roast for villagers on the very close green. The local pub or cricket club is a great place to meet other villagers. The train station with Elizabeth line to London is 10 minute walk away. M4 and M40 in easy reach.

We are very sad to leave the house which we still find perfect for us, and the village, but our Son is nearly 10 and dances with the Royal Ballet, so we are moving closer to more specialist schools.

Please note there is a service charge of £75 a month for the communal gardens.
