Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are lots of shops nearby such as westcroft which has supermarkets and cafes. The parking is good with two spaces each and shenley is a lovely area

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes we had a few hiccups when we moved in but our property manager Mustafa Dar was very helpful and resolved these for us!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More information on the local walks and how to set up the Internet

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area itself is excellent; however, reaching the nearest station involves around a 30-minute walk behind the development through an alleyway, which does not feel safe at night. As this is a review of the place I live, I also find that neighbours can be quite nosy, and the estate is becoming increasingly overcrowded. It feels more like a large development than a homely community.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There is a dedicated maintenance team in place. Whenever repairs are required, the team is responsive, professional, and efficient, and any issues are dealt with to a good standard.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known that the development would remain under construction for years, bringing ongoing noise and disruption. The estate is very densely packed, which makes it feel busy and overcrowded rather than homely, and parking can be challenging with cars often blocking roads and access. Communication is also limited, as there is no direct contact for the house or estate manager and all queries must go through reception. Overall, the focus on continued building has had a noticeable impact on day-to-day comfort and quality of life.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is fantastic, I really have no qualms regarding the location. Mild traffic noise. Super close to rail station. Super close to arena.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Once I called about the heat, the situation was handled in a very timely fashion. It was just disappointing that I was given a contact who wasn't working, and being the typically patient person that I am, was just waiting, wasting money on hotels and then space heaters, assuming it was the holiday causing the delay. However, regarding the POC's I've had other than Katy Armstrong, I have been incredibly disappointed. It seems they are completely unfamiliar with the property itself, not very responsive (possibly because they don't have answers/knowledge of the property), and one I consider downright rude for both ignoring my requests and implying I'm a liar (Bethany Mcdonald).

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Property managers are not on site nor are they familiar with the property itself. Construction is ongoing. Access to promised areas is restricted, not yet released by contractors. Call the hotline if you need anything, don't bother with email. Basically, wait about a year and then move in. Units are nice and location is great. Oh and don't trust the bin day listed in the welcome packet. Look online for yourself. So new that no delivery places can find you.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops and train station are about 15 minuets walk from Ockley Park, which is slightly far away, but the walking path is quite pleasant and easy to walk. It is also a nice path to cycle too. Bus services are very limited and sparse. Train services are frequent and convenient for trips or commutes to London and Brighton. There are sufficient parking spaces for each house, and extra ones on the streets which are great for guests. The area is quiet and peaceful, no anti-social behaviour has occurred to my knowledge.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management responds to my raised issues quite promptly, most issues are dealt with quickly and without much hassle. The only thing that could be improved is the contractors punctuality. They have on occasion fail to show up or were very late for an arranged visit without warning.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Some of the area is still under construction, with big trucks moving in and out. There could be quite a bit of dust because of that.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is excellent, very central and close to the train station and a good range of shops and restaurants. Each house has allocated parking, my house has a garage which is useful. The development is next to a river with lovely views and has green spaces for residents included. The street is quiet and feels safe.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

N/A - no issues raised yet, but I have been provided with a link to a website to report this.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The council are starting a new bin scheme in Ipswich where they are adding a new bin and there isn't room in the bin storage area outside the house, schedules may change also- can keep the other bin in the garage though, nothing else that I wasn't aware of so far
