Description

FABULOUS FIRST FLOOR FLAT – Spacious, light and airy 2 double bedroom first flat which is built in red brick with a tiled roof. The property has been much loved but is now ready for someone to refresh to suit their personal taste. The rooms are very well proportioned and allow for flexible use as bedroom 2 would work equally well as a dining room if required. A particular feature of this property is the generous outdoor space where we have a contained low maintenance garden with raised deck area. All mains services are connected and the flat is fully double glazed. The property is situated in a popular location just off from Cyprus Avenue in Blyth, with amenities and transport links on the door step, and must be viewed to be fully appreciated.

Blyth is a bustling active port town with a rich history and a keen sense of its own identity and still hosts regular market days.

The area has gone through major development in recent years and the town centre has been transformed to provide excellent shopping facilities, there is the new development at The Links at South Beach which boasts; shops, cafes and bars and a fabulous beach area providing excellent access for dog walkers.

More specific attractions in the area include a large leisure centre with pool and the Phoenix Theatre. There is also the popular area of South Beach, a beautiful stretch of golden sand, home to 20 brightly coloured beach huts, a children’s playground, a fish and chip shop and an ice cream parlour.

Schools and their locations feature in many buyers’ lists so we are fortunate that we have a number of local schools in the vicinity accessible via the fantastic road network. Transport and accessibility has been massively enhanced with the opening of the train station at Newsham.

Looking at the property from the front we have a gated access with a concrete pathway up to the entrance which is typically to the side of the building, the pathway extends round to the rear garden.

Entrance is via a uPVC front door straight in to the entrance porch. The porch has windows to each side so is naturally light and has space to house outdoor attire. Straight ahead we have the stairs up to the living accommodation.

At the top of the stairs we have doors leading too: the first on the right to the master bedroom, next to which we have the fabulous lounge, straight ahead there is a door through to the second double bedroom, next to which we have the bathroom and finally we have a door through to the kitchen. The flat has high ceilings throughout, adding to the sense of light and space.

The Master bedroom is a generous double room which has a window to the front and side elevation allowing in plenty of natural light. The room benefits from fitted robes and dressing table with space for a double bed.

Next to this we have a fabulous sized lounge with plenty of space for a large suite of furniture and a beautiful big bay window absolutely flooding the room with natural light which is enhanced by those statement high ceilings. There is a feature fire surround, in a Louis style, which is painted white with a granite back panel and hearth. There is an original storage cupboard in one of the alcoves and oak laminate flooring.

The next room is the other double room which has a large picture window over the rear elevation and is again light and airy. This room has more recently been used as a dining room.

The family shower room is next door and has a recently been updated and now offer a contemporary style white suite comprising of: a walk-in shower with glass splash screen, shaped wash basin which is mounted on a unit and a low level close coupled push button WC which is also mounted in a unit. There is a modesty window over the rear elevation, a chrome ladder effect radiator and the walls are fully clad in a tiled pattern.

The final room is the well fitted kitchen which offers plenty of wall and base units which are oak with chrome handles and we have: space for a fridge freezer, a free-standing cooker, plumbing for a washing machine, space for a tumble drier and a stainless-steel sink with a mixer tap over. There are roll top laminate worktop in an oak finish with cosmopolitan style rust coloured splashback tiling over which have been laid in a brick pattern. The kitchen is a good size and benefits from a large window over the rear.

All in all we have a fabulous light, airy and spacious first floor flat which has much loved but is now ready for a new owner to put their own stamp on it. There is generous outside space for a flat with a large garden area to the rear which has been laid for low maintenance and has a generous decked area providing options for enjoying the outdoor space in the warmer weather.
