More extensive facilities can be found in the nearby town of Hadleigh, although a wider variety of shopping, education and recreation services can be found in both Ipswich and Colchester.

Manningtree and Colchester stations lie respectively 10 and 15 miles away and both offer regular main line rail services to London’s Liverpool Street, taking 55 and 50 minutes respectively.
