Description

"It's a quiet neighbourhood with a sense of community. People are friendly and will say hello which makes it a really great place to live. We are close to amenities like a gym, park, shop, and easy access to the city centre with a bus stop at the top of the road. It's been really special to live here, particularly as it's where we got our puppy and spent years growing up with him there. He was friends with people in the neighbourhood and ruled the roost at the parks nearby!"

The home

Sold with no onward chain, the interior begins with an entrance hallway which provides access to all ground floor accommodation, a downstairs cloakroom and the integral garage. The kitchen spans the full depth of the property, enjoying a dual aspect to create a light and airy atmosphere, with patio doors leading out to the southerly facing garden space. The kitchen provides a range of modern wall and base units with space for appliances such as dishwasher and fridge freezer. Beyond is a useful utility area, ideal for extra storage which offers space for a washing machine. Heading to the first floor there is a lounge, which enjoys a Juliet balcony and dual aspect windows, filling the room with natural light. The main bedroom is also found on this level which too enjoys a Juliet balcony, with a further benefit of a shower ensuite. Adjacent to this is the home study, which is ideal for working from home. On the top floor, there are three bedrooms, with the second bedroom also benefitting from a shower ensuite. The three piece family bathroom is also situated on this level, as well as an outside balcony space to enjoy the summer sun. The property comes with an estate charge of £180 per year.

The outside space

Externally to the rear, the southerly facing garden, is mainly laid to lawn and enjoys a patio area, ideal for the alfresco dining, with side access provided. The property also comes with three off street parking spaces.

Living in Horfield

Bartholomews Square is a modern development largely completed in 2004, situated just off Gloucester Road, opposite Horfield Leisure Centre. Residents benefit from its proximity to many highly regarded independent shops, cafés and pubs. The Inn on the Green, The Drapers Arms micropub and the Bath Ales Pub, The Wellington, offer locals a good atmosphere and choice of food and drink. Local butchers MJ Dalton is nearby, famed for its traditional and exotic meats. For sports fans both The Memorial Stadium and The County Cricket Ground are within walking distance. The area benefits hugely from its proximity to major areas of employment, such as Southmead Hospital, Airbus and Rolls-Royce. Bartholomews Square is a highly convenient residence for anyone who needs regular access to these places, as well as to Bristol City Centre, a short journey down the A38. Despite holding its convenient position it is still very quiet in the flat, even with the balcony doors open.
