Description

MARISTOW AVENUE, PLYMOUTH, PL2 1LP Hindhead Property is delighted to offer this mid terrace Victorian freehold home to the market under traditional online auction conditions. The property is sold with no onward chain and vacant possession, making it an excellent opportunity for investors, developers, or buyers seeking a refurbishment project.

The auction is scheduled to end on Thursday 30 April 2026 at 2pm. With starting bids set at £100,000, this represents a strong value opportunity for those looking to add to a rental portfolio or undertake a resale project.

Important Notice
The loft space has been insulated with spray foam insulation. As a result, it is likely that obtaining a mortgage on this property will be difficult. For this reason, the vendors have chosen to sell via traditional online auction. The vendor has pre approved the rejection of any offers made outside of the auction terms.

Overview
Although some areas would benefit from modernisation, the property is currently habitable and has clearly been well maintained over the years. The home benefits from gas central heating via a modern combi boiler and a recently upgraded shower room.

The property is of Victorian construction with a rendered exterior, slate roof, and double glazed windows throughout. Externally, it presents well and enjoys strong kerb appeal, typical of this style of property.

Accommodation
On the ground floor, the property is entered via an entrance hall which leads into the main hallway. To the front is a bright living room featuring a bay window and a character fireplace with log burner. This flows through into the dining room, creating a pleasant and practical living and dining space.

To the rear of the property is a kitchen and breakfast room which provides access out to the enclosed rear courtyard. The courtyard offers a low maintenance outdoor space and also provides access to a store, an outside WC, and the basement, which houses the boiler and offers useful additional storage.

On the first floor, the property offers three bedrooms and a modern shower room located off the split level landing. Bedroom one is positioned to the front of the property, bedroom two is a generous double to the rear, and bedroom three is a smaller room created by subdividing what was originally a larger bedroom, a layout commonly seen in this area.

This is a characterful Victorian home with solid fundamentals, vacant possession, and clear scope for improvement and value enhancement. An ideal opportunity for buyers comfortable purchasing via auction and factoring in the implications of the spray foam insulation.

All measurements are shown on the floor plan. The property is sold as seen under traditional online auction terms. For further information, including how to register and bid, please contact Hindhead Property.

KEYHAM Keyham is a Victorian-built area of Plymouth in the English county of Devon. It was built to provide dense cheap housing just outside the wall of HM Dockyard Devonport for the thousands of civilian workmen. In the early-19th century, Devonport Dockyard was smaller than now; it was enlarged mid-century by Keyham Steam Yard - Keyham at that period was a suburb of Devonport itself. Keyham Steam Yard was one of the locations for the first trials of the Fairbairn patent crane.

The development of housing was so rapid that HMS Hotspur later renamed HMS Monmouth was provided as a chapel ship for Roman Catholic services until the Roman Catholic Church of Our Most Holy Redeemer was built in 1901. That church was destroyed by fire following a bombing raid in 1941 and it was rebuilt in 1954.

Parts of the southern end are now subject to massive redevelopment using a regeneration package. It has a railway station.

Hindhead Property uses a third party provider to carry out these checks, for which a non refundable fee of £45.00 applies. These checks must be completed and satisfactorily passed before a memorandum of sale can be issued.
