The property is located a short distance from the villages of Dunster and Carhampton that provide local services while the larger centre of Minehead is located approximately 5 miles to the west.
Old Cleeve Farmhouse sits close to the Exmoor National Park and is surrounded by a landscape of woodland and moorland with a convenient network of footpaths and bridleways easily accessible. The area provides ample opportunity for recreational activities within both the National Park and Quantock Hills. For equestrian enthusiasts there is racing at Taunton and Exeter whilst there are numerous hunting packs in the area and many good shoots and North Devon offers some of the best sailing, surfing and beaches. Located slightly further afield, Bridgwater and Taunton have an extensive range of shopping facilities, a thriving farmers’ market and the county cricket ground, the home of Somerset Cricket Club.
The area provides good communications links to the area. Taunton’s main line railway station offers direct trains to London Paddington and the Midlands. The M5 Motorway can be accessed at Taunton (Junction 25) or Bridgwater (Junction 23) providing access to Bristol and the Midlands.
