A beautifully presented, stone-built character cottage, peacefully situated within this highly sought-after village, enjoying far-reaching countryside views from the principal rooms.

The property benefits from three double bedrooms, two reception rooms, attractive cottage gardens to the front and rear, together with off-road parking.

The cottage has been comprehensively and sympathetically renovated by the current owners and is presented in excellent order throughout, successfully combining period charm with modern comfort.

Location
Kingsdon is a picturesque and historic village set in gently undulating countryside just a short distance from Somerton. Known for its attractive period properties and strong sense of community, the village offers a welcoming and peaceful environment whilst remaining conveniently placed for access to the A303 and surrounding towns including Street, Yeovil, Glastonbury and Wells.

Kingsdon is largely composed of period homes, with a sprinkling of tasteful modern additions. The village offers a strong sense of community and benefits from a locally run community shop, a recreation ground, and a locally renowned gastropub. Its welcoming atmosphere and countryside charm make it a desirable place to live for families, retirees, and second-home seekers alike.

Accommodation
This charming stone cottage retains a wealth of character features including a generous inglenook-style fireplace with beam over and cast-iron wood-burning stove, timber latch doors and exposed natural stone walls, all of which create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

An entrance door opens into a through hallway with radiator and coat hooks, and a door leading to the rear garden.

To the front of the property is a cosy sitting room with window overlooking the garden and countryside beyond, stairs rising to the first floor, and the impressive stone fireplace forming a central focal point. The dining room, also positioned to the front, enjoys similar far-reaching views and provides a well-proportioned and versatile reception space.

The kitchen lies to the rear and is fitted with a range of cabinetry with oak worktops over, a double Belfast sink with mixer tap, built-in oven with four-ring electric hob and extractor hood, integrated dishwasher and washing machine, and wall shelving. A utility area adjoins.

Upstairs, the landing provides access to three double bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms enjoy attractive views to the front across open countryside, whilst the third overlooks the rear garden.

The spacious contemporary bathroom is fitted with a white suite comprising panelled bath with mains shower and screen over, pedestal wash hand basin and low-level WC, together with tiling to splash-prone areas and a heated ladder towel rail.

Outside
The property is approached via a shared driveway with the adjoining neighbour, providing off-road parking. A stone path and pedestrian gate lead to the front door.

The front garden is enclosed by a stone wall and laid principally to lawn, creating a private and pleasant seating area from which to enjoy the far-reaching countryside views.

To the rear is a patio area with steps rising to a lawned garden. A stone-built shed houses the oil-fired boiler, and towards the end of the garden is a timber shed. A rear pedestrian access leads to Copper Beech Road.
