La Azohia is a small, Greek-island-esque port situated on the outskirts of the Bay of Mazarron, with mountains and hills just behind.  The small port is an idyllic, quaint, very Mediterranean fishing area, and has protected, translucent waters, making this a great spot for diving enthusiasts. The beaches are guarded by the Torre de Santa Elena, restored a few years ago, listed as a Site of Cultural Interest. There are a number of diving schools here, so everyone can have the opportunity to experience life beneath the warm waters of the Mediterranean. Experience native Spanish cuisine after a long day of swimming by visiting one of the delightful restaurants. 

Meanwhile, Mazarron’s speciality is its "out-of-this-world" beaches: Bolnuevo Beach, Playa del Castellar, Nares Beach, and Playa de Rihuete just to name a few of the spots that line the 35km of largely unspoiled coastline. To stay active, there are plenty of water sports on offer, such as sailing, scuba diving and fishing.
