PRIVATE ACCESS TO THE SEA

The Borgo di Solanto grew up around a castle built in the twelfth century to protect the local tuna fishery and later became a retreat for Sicilian aristocrats and Bourbon royalty.

The exclusive atmosphere continues to this day, as Casa Davide enjoys a private right of way down to a beach club on the small stretch of seafront just a few metres away. Housed within a little condominium with just two other apartments, it benefits from a dual entrance, with a raised front porch overlooking the sunny town square and a shared courtyard at street level to the rear.

Facing out onto the long lazy Gulf of Termini Imerese, it has views of twinkling sea and green hills that rise up to the mountains of the Madonie Natural Park.

Nonetheless, the metropolis can be reached in just twenty minutes by road or rail - Santa Flavia station is under two kilometres away. You'll find convenient supermarkets and everyday infrastructure in nearby Bagheria and Casteldaccia. Cefalù is about forty minutes by car, and the international airport under 45 minutes. It's actually remarkable that despite this convenience and the heritage of Solanto, the village itself is almost totally undisturbed by mass tourism. There would, however, be a market for such a charming and well-located apartment as a short-term holiday let.
