Don’t loose out on this fantastic opportunity!
Meg in building management has been more than helpful in accommodating my family for a short period of time and nothing is too much trouble. The apartment and all the facilities available are fantastic and makes for very easy living. I would highly recommend.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great amenities and transport links, unfortunately they’ve just started repair work on the Metro for a few weeks so can’t get into the city centre , however there is a bus replacement service.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Meg, Hannah and the rest of the team are super efficient and nothing is too much trouble.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would suggest that any potential tenant should come and view Clay as I’m positive once they do, they would not consider anything else. It has so many nice little touches for instance the honesty shop which you can buy all your essentials.

The Clay - review
Great location - quiet and great transport links.
5 minute walk into media city across the water.
Lots happening within the building which really supports a community feel. Roof top area is great and the gym has excellent equipment and it’s never busy. Only negative is the parking situation as it’s external.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great location - views onto the water front from both lounge and bedroom.
Building management team are so friendly and knowledgeable, always on hand and went out of there way to support. Highly recommended. Meg and Ellen are both excellent.

Meg and Ellen - outstanding!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Almost Two Years at Clay – Still Happy to Call It Home!!
Having lived at Clay, Salford Quays for almost two years, I feel well placed to provide an honest review from both a resident's perspective and as a professional Facilities Manager.
From the moment we moved in, the quality of the development stood out. The apartments are modern, thoughtfully designed and finished to a high standard, while the communal areas create a genuine sense of luxury and community. The co-working spaces, gym, resident lounges and honesty shop are excellent amenities that are consistently well maintained and add real value to everyday living.
What truly sets Clay apart, however, is the on-site management team. In my professional experience, effective building management plays a major role in the resident experience, and the team here consistently exceeds expectations. Meg, Ellen and Hannah are approachable, responsive and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of residents. Whether dealing with maintenance requests, administrative matters, parcel deliveries, events or day-to-day enquiries, they handle everything professionally and efficiently.
The location is another significant advantage. Salford Quays offers excellent transport links, easy access to Manchester city centre, scenic waterfront walks and a great selection of local amenities. Despite being in such a well-connected area, Clay maintains a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.
As someone working in facilities management, I appreciate the effort required to maintain a high standard of service across a residential development, and Clay does this exceptionally well. The building is clean, secure and well managed, with clear communication and a visible management presence that gives residents confidence that issues will be resolved quickly.
After almost two years of living here, we remain extremely happy with our decision to make Clay our home and are planning to stay for the foreseeable future. That alone speaks volumes. I would confidently recommend Clay, Salford Quays to professionals, couples and families looking for a high-quality rental community with outstanding management and facilities.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Good aspects:
Clay is located in a fantastic part of Salford Quays, offering the perfect balance between city living and a quieter waterfront environment. The area benefits from excellent transport links, with the Metrolink on the doorstep and easy access to Manchester City Centre and the motorway network. There are plenty of scenic walking and running routes around the Quays, along with convenient local amenities, restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. The community atmosphere within the building is another major positive, supported by regular resident events and outstanding on-site facilities.
Bad aspects:
There are very few negatives to mention. As with most popular city locations, parking spaces can be limited during busy periods and the multi-storey car park spaces can feel slightly tight for larger vehicles. Occasionally, some shared gym equipment may be out of service while awaiting repairs, but these issues are generally addressed promptly by the management team.
Overall, after almost two years of living at Clay, we have found the location, facilities and sense of community to be excellent, and we are planning to stay for the foreseeable future.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management team has been exceptional throughout our time at Clay. Any queries, concerns, or maintenance issues we have raised have been acknowledged and addressed promptly, professionally, and with a genuine focus on resident satisfaction. Communication is always clear and proactive, and the team are highly visible and approachable.
As a Facilities Manager myself, I recognise the importance of good building management, and the standard of service provided by Meg, Ellen and the wider team has been consistently impressive. Their willingness to go above and beyond has played a significant part in making Clay such a positive place to live.
On the rare occasions where there has been a delay in resolving an issue, it has generally been due to external contractors rather than the management team themselves. While this can understandably be frustrating for residents, from my professional experience, contractor delays are sometimes unavoidable and can be outside the direct control of on-site management. What has stood out is that the team has always kept residents informed, followed up appropriately, and worked hard to ensure issues were resolved as quickly as possible.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Initially, there was an issue with utilities bill management, but it was resolved within six months.

The apartment is gorgeous and was super clean when we moved in
The apartment is gorgeous and was super clean when we moved in. The staff have been nothing but helpful (especially Meg) and we have really appreciated all the help. We absolutely love the facilities provided within the building. As we have moved from Scotland and knew little about Manchester Meg was able to help us with every question we have had and has made our moving process very easy.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Absolutely love the area so far! Loads to do around the area but and the tram stop in front of the building is super convenient.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We haven't had any issues however we have been throughly advised by the building management that if we ever have any problems just to contact.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The viewing process was all very insightful and Meg was able to answer every question that we had in our viewing process. We had no issues moving in and any questions that we did have prior to the move in date Meg was able to answer for us and got back to us really quick.

Well-Maintained Development in a Great Location & A Massive Help From Meg
I’ve had a very positive experience living in this development. The building is modern, well designed and always feels clean and well maintained. The communal areas are looked after to a high standard, and any maintenance or management issues have been dealt with professionally and in a reasonable timeframe. The development feels safe and secure, with good facilities and a pleasant atmosphere throughout. It’s a quiet place to live, and the overall upkeep of the property reflects the high standards that are maintained. I would happily recommend the development to anyone looking for a well-managed and comfortable place to live.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area has everything you need close by, including supermarkets, shops, restaurants and other everyday amenities. There are good public transport links, making it easy to get around, and there are plenty of parks and open spaces nearby. The neighbourhood is generally quiet and well looked after, with a friendly atmosphere. Parking is usually available, although it can get a little busier at certain times. Bin collections are regular, and I’ve found the area to be clean, convenient and a great place to live overall.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management team have always been helpful, approachable and professional. Any queries or maintenance requests have been acknowledged promptly and dealt with in a reasonable timeframe. Communication has been clear throughout, and I’ve found them to be responsive whenever I’ve needed assistance.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I honestly don’t think there were any major surprises after moving in. If anything, I wish I’d known how convenient the location is and how well maintained the development is, as it made settling in much easier. I’d recommend taking the time to explore the local area, as there are plenty of useful amenities and transport links nearby.
