From the centre of Marlow, proceed west from the obelisk along West Street towards Henley. Turn right at Platts garage into Oxford Road, continue in Chalkpit Lane, climb the hill towards Bovingdon Green and the turning to this private road is on the left-hand side a couple of hundred yards before the Royal Oak. (The left hand turn off Chalkpit Lane is quite hidden and a very sharp turn so it is actually easier to approach from the Bovingdon Green direction descending the hill towards Marlow).
