Description

One bedroom first floor apartment with just one careful owner from new, with a private covered balcony and a long lease. Find your smart 570 sq ft pad within a smart gated development (with communal secure bike store), close to loads of delightful public green spaces, in Forest Hill/East Dulwich borderland.

Moonlight Drive rests quietly off Wood Vale - a highly desirable residential street of grand Victorian houses in the main. This low-rise boutique modern development is named 'Prosperous Apartments'. A shared secure-entry main door opens to a well-kept communal hall.

Take the stairs to the first floor where you'll find your own front door. From the hall you have a generous coat/cleaning cupboard to your immediate right. Next on your right is the immaculate internal modern bathroom, with contemporary suite and fittings (we love the on-trend monochrome detailing).

Next up is your large main room, of nearly 20 feet by over 11 feet (plenty of space to zone dining and seating areas), with a cool exposed brick wall to the reception end. Find your modern kitchen to the opposite end of the room - with neat units in black and white, and integrated appliances (these are included in the sale). Engineered oak impresses to the floor, and as throughout, walls are a crisp white. Huge double-glazed sliding doors deliver you to your private covered balcony.

At the end of the hall, find your most-pleasing carpeted double bedroom, of 15 feet by over 9 feet. A bank of built-in (to-the-ceiling) closets sit at the near end.

This location is very desirable - leafy, quiet and residential, yet so connected: you are less than 11 minutes by foot from Peckham Rye Park and Common's 113 acres, and 15 minutes from Lordship Lane. The town centres and high streets of Forest Hill and Honor Oak are easily reached by foot, too.

More local shops, pubs and cafes are a five minute walk away, on Forest Hill Road.

For stations, you've got three to choose from in easy-walking distance: Honor Oak Park (Fare Zone 3), East Dulwich and Peckham Rye (both Zone 2). Day and night bus routes are also at your feet, from Peckham Rye.

We've mentioned Peckham Rye Park and Common. There are loads of gorgeous green spaces to call your local ones - Horniman Gardens, Goose Green, One Tree Hill and Dulwich Park are just a handful of examples.

In addition to the useful run of shops on Forest Hill Road and Barry Road, more options are on Lordship and Rye Lanes, as well as in Honor Oak, Forest Hill and Nunhead centres. North Cross Road's Saturday market is also local.

Our favourite nearby cafes are Cafe G (on the corner of The Gardens), and Cafe On The Rye.

For evening social meets? Watson's General Telegraph, The Herne Tavern and The Clockhouse are all top local pubs, in handsome Victorian buildings.

Bellenden Road also isn't far for top restaurants including Artusi, Ganapati and The Begging Bowl. Other great dining options in SE15 include Levan, Banh Banh, Mr Bao and Peckham Bazaar. Miss Margherita and Babur in the Honor Oak district are also highly recommended.

East Dulwich leisure centre is a short stroll away, or you can 'sign up' for British Military Fitness workouts on Peckham Rye, or join the park-runners for free each Saturday at 9am.
