DESCRIPTION

Roftlee is constructed of brick under a slate roof, with white painted roughcast elevations and black painted window surrounds. Roftlee, along with a collection of properties within the immediate vicinity were built by John Boydell between 1804-1816 for the neighbouring Trevalyn Estate. The property has a Gothic style to it with exposed beams & timbers to the majority of rooms, turreted bow windows, Crittall windows with some ecclesiastical in design and all houses of this era are marked with a black cross. Indeed, the character and charm of Roftlee is one of its main attributes and yet it has been updated in recent years to cater for modern style living.
