Building is becoming tired and needs a refresh. Time to move on
The development is becoming very run down. There is bird excrement everywhere and nothing has been done to try and deter the seagull population roosting on the parapets. Corridors are shabby and evidence of some apartment bathrooms perhaps leaking below the floor. Reported concerns about defective fire paint in the carpark steel structure this was never fixed. Sofa comfort has deteriorated, asked for a new one on the back of the management company offering a refresh however it never happened.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is good. I have no complaints to make about that. It’s probably the main reason I am still there
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
To be fair they will respond quickly but something things have just never got sorted
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The remote nature of the reception to the Button Building is a bit inconvenient for casual interaction

Great building and amazing team!
Overall, it is a nice place to live with good facilities. Great service from the building management team! Harita was very helpful during my initial apartment viewing. Both Harita and Anna are friendly, welcoming, and quick to assist with anything needed in the building. Highly recommend them both!
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The building is fantastic! I just wish it were closer to the city centre or had amenities nearby, like a supermarket or a coffee shop. It will be even better once the surrounding maintenance work is done!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management team is helpful and always ready to assist with any issue.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The construction work makes access to the building a bit harder. Hope it finishes soon!

An outstanding residence.
Mustard Wharf has been a fantastic place to live. The development is modern, well maintained and has a real community feel. The apartments are finished to a high standard, with good layouts and quality fixtures throughout. The communal spaces are always kept clean, and the amenities such as the gym, co-working areas and resident lounges are excellent and genuinely add to the experience of living here.
The location is one of the biggest advantages, with Leeds city centre, the train station and the waterfront all within easy walking distance. There are plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants and shops nearby, making day-to-day life very convenient.
The management team and maintenance staff have always been extremely kind, helpful and responsive, and any issues have been dealt with promptly. The building feels secure, with controlled access and good security measures in place.
Overall, Mustard Wharf offers a high-quality living experience in a great location. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for modern city-centre living in Leeds.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area offers a good balance of convenience and quick access to the countryside. There are several supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants within a short walk, with larger shopping centres easily accessible nearby. There are plenty of green spaces, walking routes and parks, making it ideal for outdoor activities. Public transport is very close, with regular train services and good road links to the motorway network. The area feels very safe and friendly.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
On the few occasions I've needed to report an issue, the building management has responded promptly and professionally. Communication has been excellent, updates have been provided throughout, and any maintenance work has been completed efficiently with minimal disruption.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known just how much the communal facilities would add to the overall living experience. The shared spaces, gym and resident events really help create a sense of community, and the location makes it easy to enjoy everything Leeds city centre has to offer without needing a car. My tip for new residents would be to make full use of the amenities they're one of the best aspects of living at Mustard Wharf.

Nice flat but with some management issues
There has been a few issues around things taking 2 months to be fixed and confusion over rent payments. It is sometimes difficult to get post and often people don’t seem to be able to find it. A stranger also attempted to get access to my flat though this was not the fault of the building and generally I feel safe here
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It’s really close to lots of shops restaurants and stations, however difficult to get hold of post sometimes, the seagulls are also very loud and cause a lot of mess on the balconies more could be done to stop them breeding on the roof
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have now dealt with my issues but it has taken 2 months and multiple phone calls/complaints
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That things weren’t following the timeline set out on the initial discussion and that there would be an extensive reference process

Good place to rent!
Only reason for not giving 5 is the experience I had when moving in. Now there are some new staff and management it is definitely improving! I will look at reviewing this again in about 3 months and hope to be able to give all 5’s! I enjoyed the Friday pizza night!
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It can be noisy at night time with the homeless living under the bridge but if I keep windows closed then it is fine. The car park is a bit further away but gives great security. Amenities are all so close it’s great to just walk everywhere!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Eventually- there has been a change so now it’s much more prompt!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think knowing about the homeless outside and feeling a bit vulnerable by it. Otherwise all is good!
