This area is known for its gentle countryside, vineyards and traditional stone villages, offering a relaxed pace of life. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, listed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, is particularly popular for its riverside beach, cafés and summer events, while Verteuil-sur-Charente is known for its château and scenic setting along the river.
