A Beautiful Interior Designed Victorian Home With A South Facing Garden And Driveway. Wonderfully rearranged to make the most of the space, with a gorgeous sociable kitchen and living room.

Most Victorian family homes are still arranged around how they were built over 100 years ago. Interior designer Lizzie Green decided to change all of that. She didn't just redecorate. She rethought how the whole thing works.

The kitchen now sits at the centre of the ground floor, lit by a skylight that floods light down from the staircase above. Lizzie's approach was creative and considered - and the kitchen is where that shows most clearly. The island is where everyone ends up, and the Calacatta Viola worktops, Corston hardware and Quooker tap tell you exactly the level of thought that went into the final finish.

Cook on the induction hob with double ovens to the side of you, friends on the bar stools, conversation flowing - this is the room the house revolves around. Under-stair larder storage keeps everything out of sight.

Behind it, the 22ft living room stretches out. It's a serious space - and the glazing is extraordinary. A full run of skylights overhead bounce light off the bespoke sage-green cabinetry running floor to ceiling along the interior wall, and a herringbone terracotta floor warmed by underfloor heating that holds the heat for hours.

The slim-profile sliding doors open across the back of the room straight onto the garden. When they're open, the two spaces really do become one.

The garden runs over 40 feet and faces south-west. The chequerboard stone patio tiles give it the feel of a Parisian courtyard rather than a typical London back garden - and it backs onto an attractive converted chapel of just four homes, which keeps things nicely private and quiet. You get morning sun on the decking for coffee, and the patio catches the afternoon.

On the ground floor there's also a utility room and downstairs WC, plus a separate dining space within the bay at the front of the house.

Upstairs, the main bedroom spans the full width of the front of the house with a large bay window and bespoke fitted wardrobes. The middle bedroom is currently a child's room - though it would make a brilliant guest room or home office too. The rear bedroom is another decent sized double.

The family bathroom is pretty in pink, with a beautiful freestanding bath, a walk-in shower with full marble tiling, electric underfloor heating, towel rail and Crosswater and Lusso Stone taps.

There's loft conversion potential too - plans have already been drawn up if you want to take the house further.

The off street parking on the drive will be invaluable, particularly if you have an EV.

That said, you’re so well connected that you may not need a car. Nunhead station is only a 10 minute walk away, with direct trains to Victoria, Blackfriars, Farringdon and St Pancras. Queens Road Peckham and Peckham Rye stations are both roughly 15 minutes walk away - opening up the Overground, Southern services, and easy connections to Canary Wharf via Canada Water, Clapham Junction and Shoreditch High Street.

Closer to home, Nunhead Lane is just at the end of the street. The independent scene - including Ayres Bakery, Goodcup, Mother Superior, El Vermut, Kudu Grill and Soper's Fishmongers among them - has been building quietly for years. The pubs are just as good: The Old Nun's Head, Skehan's, The Pyrotechnics and The Man of Kent.

Peckham Rye Park is only a short walk away - with plenty of parkland, playgrounds and a bowling green. The Telegraph Hill farmers' market runs every Saturday morning. Walk a little further and you're on Bellenden Road - with Artusi, Ganapati, Flock & Herd and the Review bookshop among the highlights.

Nunhead Cemetery, one of the “Magnificent Seven” Victorian cemeteries, is at the top of the road and a £4m renovation is underway that will bring a new community space and café to what's already a brilliant spot for a trail run or a dog walk.

Most people buy a Victorian family home and still live in it like they did 100 over years ago. Not here. You’re buying a traditional home with a thoroughly modern interior designer’s twist on family life.

With an extensive high-end agency background the team have a combined 45 yearsexperience of helping people move home. But we're not your usual estate agents. Yes, we use Rightmove and Zoopla (the traditional methods) but we also use modern methods to market our clients homes. With many of our clients finding us through social media, this is just how we find our buyers too.

Using beautiful videography to help us cast a wider net and attract even more buyers means we often find that buyers fall in love with the home first, area second. We go beyond the parameters of the 'old school' portals and regularly sell homes through Instagram and even TikTok. But our social skills aren't the only thing that set us apart from the usual estates. We don't work with every client we meet and by operating on a "quality over quantity" basis, it means we can put the control of the sale back into our clients hands. We're with our clients every step of the way, recommending world class brokers, incredible solicitors and removals teams.

Think of us as your partners in property, your moving PA's, the professional home experts come friends you can turn to at any point in time.
