1. What attracted you to the property ?

With a young family it was important for us to be in the catchment area for St. James' School. We needed enough bedrooms for our children. It was a quiet and pleasant residential street with off road parking and attractive trees. It was within walking distance of High Brooms Station and the town centre plus within walking distance to several excellent primary, Grammar and Comprehensive schools.
The house benefitted from a light airy feel with captivating views and also offered the practicality of bedrooms with built in wardrobes a boarded loft offering great storage and an entrance cloakroom for coats and shoes.

2. What improvements have you made to the property ? 

We had modern double-glazed windows installed, new garage doors and a block-paved driveway. Changed from warm air heating to a gas boiler with radiators. We landscaped the garden with a choice of plants for year long interest and requiring minimal maintenance. Excellent for entertaining, e.g barbecues and firepit. Secret spaces. Large patio for children to play on all year round.

We had an extension including:- 2 large double bedrooms with very large built-in wardrobe/cupboards, downstairs family/snug area (second living room) and two small walk in storage rooms. The one off the kitchen includes space and sockets for extra appliances if required. The other is off the snug area and is carpeted with a radiator. We installed a downstairs bathroom (shower), added lots of built-in storage: cupboards in the living room, bookshelves, and a large cupboard over the stairs. There are secret cupboards in both upstairs bathrooms and a cellar cupboard in the entrance lobby.

What have you enjoyed about living there ?

The proximity to local amenities -
Easy walk to Dunorlan Park and Hilbert Park - both with streams and ponds, cafes and children's areas.
Convenient access to Tunbridge Wells town centre, excellent local schools and local shops.
The strong sense of community on the street. 
As a family  of creatives we have appreciated the generous and flexible living space.
We moved in over 30 years ago and are only moving because we need to downsize.
We have enjoyed many incredible sunsets out of the main living room window.

Location
The property is situated in the popular St. James area of Tunbridge Wells, within easy reach of the St. James Primary School and the Hilbert & Grosvenor Park.
