As I'm sure you're aware, if you've been looking for a detached bungalow in this area, they don't come along for sale that often......so, you're in luck, here is number 64 Overlea Drive, ready for the next chapter in its, and yours, life.
Pulling up outside, there's a low level stone wall that sets the border for the front of the home and wooden fences separate you from your neighbours. Upon meeting both sets of neighbours, you couldn't meet anyone nicer, so we're off to a great start.
The driveway is large enough for numerous vehicles, as well as it leading down to the garage at the rear of the home. This could possibly be converted into more useful space, if you ever felt the need, however, you will possibly need planning consent first. It currently, as do most homes, plays host to all the stuff we want to keep, but don't necessarily need.
Stepping through the front door, we enter a rather stylish entrance hallway. The first thing you notice is the very stylish, solid dark wood parquet effect flooring. On our left is a handy, glass panelled glass sliding door storage cupboard, there for all of your hats, coats, shoes and other sundries. It's kept nice and light in here thanks to the glass panels in the front composite front door.
As we move along the hallway, the first door that we come across opens to the spacious lounge. This is a lovely cosy room that still features the same flooring from the front door. A large window allows ample light to flow in and offers views over the front aspect. This room is capable of taking plenty of pieces of free standing furniture, as the present owners have demonstrated with their gorgeous pieces. A sensible sized log burner sits in the open fireplace and provides not only heat, but creates an atmosphere that only a real fire can give. A picture rail shows that this home has character.
Walking along the hallway, if we work our way around anticlockwise, we come to the kitchen / breakfast room. This has worktops running along two walls, which provide ample space for food preparation as well as a place for all of our 21st Century gadgets that we've become so accustomed to using today. A breakfast bar offers a place for casual dining as well as a place for guests to sit and watch while you perform your culinary skills. A window allows the light to penetrate in and keep it nice and light. A door opens to the side of the home.
The next room along the hallway opens to the family bathroom. This is exactly how'd you'd want your bathroom to be. There's a beautiful old school style radiator that not only keeps your towels nice and warm, but looks the part too. A roll-top bath provides a fabulous place to actually unwind and enjoy bathtime, you know, with a good book and a glass of wine....they aren't just for washing you know! It also has a shower attachment for when you need to rinse your hair. Next, we have the most stylish pedestal wash hand basin that I've ever seen, with a chrome stand and mixer tap. And finally, we have a floating toilet, and this you've got to see. Floor and wall tiles make for easy maintenance, and a frosted window lets the light flood in, and also keeps prying eyes out - not that it's that kind of area, before you ask!
From the bathroom, we walk along to bedroom two. This can take a double bed as well as other pieces of furniture, the unusual thing is that the present owners have added patio doors, so as to give you direct access to the rear garden, it's a great touch!
Moving along, round the home, the next room we come to opens to the main bedroom. Again, much like the last room, we have another set of patio doors to the outside, this time, it's undercover. You could if you wanted, make this the lounge and the room at the front a bedroom, but I think it works perfectly like this, but how you set it up is down to you.
The final room we come to open to the third bedroom, which is currently being used as a dressing room. It is large enough to take a double bed, you may find the choice of furniture that you'd like to fit in here a little more limited, or if you didn't need a bedroom or dressing room, it would make an ideal dining room, as would any of the other rooms if I'm honest.
That's the great thing about this home, how you want to define it, is your choice, as pretty much anything goes in here......so what are you waiting for, make an appointment to come and see it.....but hold on, before you do, let's just explore the outside....
There a patio section directly outside the width of the home, some undercover thanks to the wooden structure that's been built that sits directly outside the main bedroom. This mean, regardless of the weather, you can always enjoy some Al Fresco dining.
The area is broken up with some parts covered in scattered stone, others with paving stones and another raised section with wooden decking. This area is probably the most interesting as it has a wooden building that is currently a fully equipped bar. Doors drop down to reveal an almost shack like bar, where your guests can sit and socialise until it's late, or you run out of drink.... whichever comes first!
The garden then rises up, with two sets of stairs leading to a higher place, a place where you can sit and admire the rear views or the other homes around you to the front. The bank drops dow at the rear to a place where there is even more space that you can call yours.....but how much garen do you really want?
