Description
This individual house was designed and built to the owners requirements and much thought and detail went into the design and execution. Cottage style external elements make for a pretty frontage and internally the combination of rooms work well together and vary from many of the more standard detached houses. A welcoming hall serves as a hub to the ground floor spaces which include a large social kitchen dining space, lounge, study and cloakroom. The kitchen also features a utility room at the rear. Upstairs, four bedrooms include a large master bedroom with en suite along with three well balanced additional rooms. As you would expect, windows are double glazed and within timber frames but unlike many similar properties, Cherry Tree House is lucky in having underflooring throughout both ground and first floors. Furthermore, for a relatively new house there is a notable amount of built-in storage upstairs. The house is currently Let with the tenancy expected to come to an end in April 2026 after which there will be no onward chain.
Location
Cherry Tree House is nicely set back from Cross Street behind an area of off road parking and garden. The village Primary School is within walking distance, towards the end of the road as is the Community Centre and Playing Field. Likewise, in the opposite direction, the Village Hall sits at the bottom of the hill as one proceeds towards the historic core of the village and Low Street. The area is surrounded by footpaths both along the road and across the fields making for some interesting dog walking routes. Likewise, the road network connects the village to all points of the compass and the key towns and villages in the area including Eye, Diss, Stradbroke and Framlingham. The A140 and A143 are both easily reached in no more than 10 minutes making travel throughout the region straightforward.
Direction
Cross Street is the upper part of the village from the older Low Street and village green core. By passing The Swan pub and heading over the bridge, take the next left and continue up hill. As the road straightens after a combination of bends, Cherry Tree House will be found on the left opposite a terrace of red brick cottages.
