The larger village of Ringmer is around three miles to the southwest and provides a more extensive range of shops, including bakers, off licence take away and Fish and Chip shops. There are two great pubs opposite the village green which has Ringmer CC playing throughout the summer months. There is also a County League Football Club. The famous and renowned Glyndebourne Opera House is also situated on the outskirts of Ringmer with the historic County Town of Lewes is approximately six miles regular trains to London Victoria as well as Gatwick and Brighton.
