Location

Meadow House is situated in the rural hamlet of Spurstow in a very scenic part of South Cheshire between the historic market town of Nantwich and county town of Chester. It occupies a lovely private setting accessed off a country lane and overlooking fields at the front, yet is only a short distance from the popular and well serviced village of Bunbury which caters for everyday needs with an attractive church, primary school, convenience store/post office, doctor’s surgery and several pubs and restaurants. The larger village of Tarporley offers a more comprehensive range of services as does the Nantwich with is collection of fine period buildings arranged around an attractive square next to the church. Likewise, Chester is equally well serviced with shopping in the famous Rows complemented by several out of town retail parks.

Schooling is well provided for locally with a successful state primary school in Bunbury and secondary school in Tarporley whilst for those seeking private education there is a good selection of schools nearby including The Grange at Hartford, Abbeygate College at Saighton and Kings & Queens in Chester. On the recreational front Bunbury has playing fields, tennis courts & cricket ground and on the edge of Tarporley are the Portal Premium & Championship golf courses. The property is close to the Sandstone Trail with scenic walks through the Beeston & Peckforton foothills. For the equestrian followers there is horse racing at Chester & Bangor on Dee, hunting with the Cheshire Hunt, polo at Little Budworth and for the motoring enthusiast a racing circuit at nearby Oulton Park.

Communications

Despite the rural location the area is extremely accessible for all areas of commerce throughout the North West including the Chester Business Park, Deeside Industrial Park, Crewe Commercial Park and Wrexham Industrial Estate. Liverpool and Manchester are both within daily travelling distance courtesy of the M53 & M56 motorway and the M6 motorway is 15 miles distant. To the south the A49/A41 connects with the M54 allowing ease of access to The Potteries, Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham. Liverpool and Manchester airports are 30 and 34 miles respectively and for travel to London there is a 1 hr 35 mins rail service from Crewe station to Euston.

Outside

The property is approached off the lane and via a gravelled drive to a parking area beside the house. The gardens surround the house albeit are predominantly to the north and east of the building, and have matured over the years to provide a lovely private setting with lawns and dense floral and herbaceous borders supporting a variety of flowering trees and shrubs.
