Description

Fine & Country are delighted to present Eagle Lodge. Set in this ever-popular village with an excellent pub and surrounded by beautiful countryside, this attractive home combines the charm of an older cottage with the practicalities of larger rooms and good ceiling height, plus a generous garden.

Internal Accommodation:

Ground Floor:

Whilst maintaining period charm, Eagle Lodge offers excellent room proportions, as evidenced in the open-plan layout of the kitchen/diner and sitting room. This really is somewhere the whole family can gather, or perhaps groups of friends for the perfect dinner party. The kitchen is fitted with a range of units and breakfast bar, plus attractive aga. The snug features a log burner, ideal to hunker down in front of on those colder evenings in winter. A utility/boot room and downstairs WC complete the ground floor.

First Floor:

The generous principal bedroom offers a range of built-in storage, en-suite bathroom, and corner window. There are two further double bedrooms, with shower room. Again, one is struck by the excellent ceiling height, a far cry from many of the thatched cottages in the area where first-floor space can be compromised.

Outside:

Eagle Lodge features an impressive garden, ample parking for several vehicles, garage and rear terrace – the perfect spot for enjoying outdoor dining.

Location:

Nestled in the heart of Wiltshire, East Chisenbury embodies the charm and tranquillity of an idyllic English village. Superbly situated amidst the rolling hills and lush greenery of the Vale of Pewsey, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village is conveniently located just a short drive from major transportation links, including a mainline railway station at Pewsey, with services direct to London Paddington taking just over 1hr. The renowned Red Lion Freehouse, a highly regarded gastropub, offers exquisite dining experiences using the finest local produce, and many residents are proud to have it as their local. The large village of Pewsey offers many amenities locally, as do the market towns of Marlborough and Devizes which are within easy reach. There are excellent schools in the area in both the state and private sectors and this continues to be a draw for many families moving to the area.
