The centre also opened for open water swimming in 2011. The crystal clear water provides excellent visibility for divers and swimmers and it also contains a large number of fish including roach, perch, sturgeon and trout.
The diving activities are varied and include purpose designed training platforms, a jetty with two piers for deep water entry, concrete slipway and two training areas with non-slip platforms. There are numerous underwater attractions to include a simulated cave, various aircraft, boats and attractions for divers to experience.
