Playsport has been acquired by Investors Steve and Alison Timoney, who have been involved with basketball for many years.

The Timoney's have recently acquired the Glasgow Rocks and have re-braded the basketball team as the Caledonia Gladiators, both for the men's and women's teams. Playsport is situated within a highly accessible trading location, close to the main motorway network serving central Scotland. There is an approximate 2.5 million catchment population within a 60 minute drive time and 1.8 million catchment population within a 30 minute drive time.
