The western part slopes to a stone wall at the northwest boundary and extends to about 0.14 hectares (0.35 acres), comprising steep amenity land unsuitable for caravans.

The site lies 1.5 miles from Stroud town centre, which offers a wide range of amenities. It adjoins woodland within the Cotswold AONB, overlooking a valley, with Rodborough Common nearby.
