Situation

The former church site is located in the south-eastern sector of the Melton Park residential area, and comprises the former grounds and building of Melton Park Church, on the western side of Calder Road. The site is approximately square in plan, with a truncated north-eastern corner. The former church is situated in the south-western quarter of the site. A small area adjacent to the south-east corner of the former church is occupied by rows of mid-20th Century gravestones. The remainder of the site comprises open ground (grassland), with a dense row of trees and foliage along the northern edge and sparse trees distributed along all the other edges. The areas of ground with trees and foliage on the northern side, and north eastern corner of the site, also include sparse standing gravestones of mid 19th to early 20th Century date.

Liverpool Street, and Melton railway station provides a service to Ipswich, with a journey time of 25 minutes
