Overview
The Sweetest Thing presents an opportunity to acquire a modern and well-branded dessert and confectionery business positioned within a busy and well-populated area of Wirral. Established in 2023, the business has quickly developed a strong local reputation and an impressive online following across multiple social media platforms.
The business specialises in desserts, confectionery products, sweet treats, takeaway refreshments and customer-led social media marketing. Despite a relatively short trading history, it has already created a highly recognisable local brand with strong engagement and repeat customer appeal.
This is a genuine turnkey opportunity for a buyer seeking a stylish, scalable retail concept with a ready-made marketing platform and clear scope for growth.

- Annual turnover of approximately £161,400
- Strong and recognisable local brand built in a short trading period
- Substantial social media following across three major platforms
- Modern, recently improved premises with a stylish turnkey fit-out
- Established trading position within a busy Wirral catchment
- Loyal customer base and strong repeat trade
- Fixtures, fittings and operational equipment included in the sale
- Clear scope for delivery expansion and second-site or franchise growth
The Business
The business benefits from attractive branding, a modern store fit-out, strong digital visibility and a loyal customer base. A key strength is its social media presence, with a substantial following across multiple platforms helping to drive customer awareness, repeat trade and future growth.
For a business of its size and trading history, the online profile is particularly strong, providing valuable long-term growth opportunities. Significant investment of approximately £25,000 has been made into store renovations and fit-out improvements, funded directly from business profits during the trading period.
The business currently operates with five staff members in place, with the owner presently acting as manager. This offers an incoming owner-operator opportunities to streamline operations, reduce management reliance or restructure staffing according to their own experience and intended involvement. It would suit an owner-operator seeking a hands-on trading opportunity, a family-run operation, an existing dessert or confectionery operator, or a buyer seeking a business with strong branding and growth potential.
Location
The Sweetest Thing occupies a prominent trading position in Wirral, within a busy residential and commercial area.
The surrounding location benefits from a strong local catchment, nearby housing, schools, local businesses and passing traffic. The premises are easily accessible via major local road links and public transport routes, helping to generate regular customer trade throughout the week. The business is well positioned to serve both local residents and passing customers, while its strong online presence extends its reach well beyond the immediate trading location.
Premises & Tenure
The business operates from attractive leasehold premises in Wirral, benefiting from a stylish turnkey fit-out and a modern store interior. Considerable recent investment into store renovations and fit-out improvements provides an incoming purchaser with a ready-to-trade, low-overhead operating base.
Financial Overview
The business demonstrates a strong turnover position relative to its age, with reinvestment and owner-related adjustments indicating a stronger underlying earning position than the headline figures initially suggest.
- Annual turnover of approximately £161,400
- Reported net profit of approximately £5,000
- Add-backs of approximately £18,000
- Approximately £25,000 invested into store renovations and fit-out improvements, funded directly from business profits
The owner advises that the reported net profit does not fully reflect the underlying potential of the business, as significant sums have been reinvested into the premises and operations during the trading period. Following normalisation of these one-off costs and owner-related adjustments, the business demonstrates a stronger underlying earning position than the headline reported net profit initially suggests.
Physical assets included in the sale are valued at approximately £9,000 of equipment and approximately £4,000 of fixtures and fittings. In addition, the business benefits from substantial digital brand value across its social media platforms, representing a significant intangible asset and an established marketing platform from day one.
Growth Potential
The business offers excellent future growth potential and provides an ideal platform for scaling.
- Expansion onto additional delivery platforms and enhanced online ordering
- Increased evening and weekend trading
- Product diversification, seasonal ranges and branded packaged products
- Franchise or second-site expansion opportunities
- Corporate and event catering packages, plus further influencer-led marketing
Reason for Sale
The owner is offering the business for sale due to non-related business interests.
