DescriptionA fantastic opportunity to acquire a high-profile convenience store situated in one of Hull’s busiest retail destinations. This store benefits from exceptional footfall, strong visibility, and a loyal customer base drawn from the surrounding residential areas and daily shoppers visiting the centre.
LocationLocated in Hull, the store enjoys prime positioning within a busy shopping destination, ensuring consistent passing trade and excellent exposure to thousands of visitors each week. The external doors open directly beside one of Hull’s busiest bus stops, funnelling continual footfall from commuters and shoppers throughout the day. Directly opposite, a 24‑hour self‑service petrol station operates around the clock, generating a steady stream of potential customers from morning through late evening. Together, these high‑traffic anchors significantly enhance visibility, accessibility, and the store’s overall commercial appeal.
Internal DetailsThis store offers a spacious, open‑plan layout designed to deliver a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience. Customers benefit from two convenient entrances, one accessed directly from the shopping centre and another via an external doorway, maximising accessibility and supporting strong footfall throughout the day.
The main retail area, measuring approximately 18.19m x 11.19m, provides excellent visibility across the sales floor. Two central gondola shelving units create well‑defined aisles, while the perimeter walls accommodate extensive chiller and shelving capacity for both chilled and ambient goods. The store also features several standout customer attractions, including a fully refrigerated beer cave, a refresh drinks bar equipped with a three‑bowl milkshake machine, two‑bowl slush machine, hot water tap, Tango Ice Blast, Frozen Coke, and a Costa Express coffee machine, offering a compelling range of premium and impulse‑driven beverage options.
Adding to its uniqueness, the store boasts an impressive selection of traditional sweets bagged in‑house, alongside a double pick‑and‑mix sweet stand, enhancing its appeal to families and customers seeking nostalgic treats.
At the rear of the shop, the payment kiosk is strategically positioned to support efficient customer flow and strong visibility. Beyond the shop floor lies a generous storage room with access to a staff WC, a disabled WC, a kitchen, and an office, ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently behind the scenes.
Fixtures & FittingsAll fixtures and fittings are included in the sale, except any items owned by third parties or personal to the current owners.
External DetailsThe store benefits from 24hr manned security, high visibility signage, and immediate access to ample customer parking.
The OpportunityThis exceptional convenience store is superbly presented and fitted to a high standard throughout, offering a modern and welcoming retail environment. The store enjoys a strong reputation and serves as a key retail destination for the local community and daily shoppers. In addition to its established in‑store trade, the business also benefits from offering home deliveries through Scoot, expanding its reach and capturing valuable online‑driven sales.
Our client has made the reluctant decision to lease the store to focus on other business interests, creating a rare opportunity for a new operator to acquire a thriving business with weekly sales in the region of £30,000. The premises are fully equipped and ready for immediate operation, requiring no additional investment. Additional features include a staff kitchen, changing facilities, and significant scope to enhance revenue by introducing hot food‑to‑go, an ATM, and developing an online presence. These additions, alongside the already established Scoot delivery service, which offers further convenience to customers—would strengthen the store’s appeal and profitability. This opportunity is ideal for both multi‑site operators seeking to expand their portfolio and hands‑on owner‑operators looking for a profitable, turnkey business with strong growth potential.
StaffThe business is currently run with the support of a manager, one full time cashier/sweet section manager and 13 part time employees, 4 of which are shift supervisors.
