Leicester City Council (LCC) invites applications from Community Organisations to submit their proposals in the form of a Business Case to support an application for Community Asset Transfer (CAT) of Braunstone Frith Recreation Centre for a term of up to five (5) years.

Rent is £1 per annum (peppercorn rent). There will be annual fee of £2,500 payable to Leicester City Council to cover administrative costs for inspecting the building and to carry out statutory compliance checks on an annual basis.

Braunstone Frith Recreation Centre is located on Sharmon Crescent in the established Western Ward, approximately 4.6 miles from Leicester City Centre. Adjacent to local shops and opposite Sharmon Play Park, it serves as a vibrant community hub offering activities, classes, social events, youth groups and programmes for older residents.

The centre provides flexible accommodation, including a large multi-purpose hall available for hire for weddings, parties, meetings/conferences and community activities, alongside office space, a fitted kitchen, foodbank storage, accessible facilities and nearby on-street parking. This presents an excellent opportunity to continue and enhance the delivery of community, recreational, educational and wellbeing services.
