Description

The Maypole public house is situated on Town End in the heart of Ossett, West Yorkshire. Immediately in front of the premises is a car park which allows free parking for up to 2 hours. Ossett is a market town (market run Tuesdays and Friday) in the City of Wakefield Metropolitan District of West Yorkshire. It is located just off junction 40 of the M1 carriageway and approximately 4 miles West of Wakefield and has a central bus station serving the surrounding villages, towns and cities.

The Maypole has excellent frontage looking out towards the Town Hall on Town End and is serviced to the rear via a shared courtyard.

Internally there is an inset entrance off the main access doors which leads straight in to the bar area. The ground floor consists of a mixture of carpet, tile and wood flooring as well as dining height, poseur height and fixed seating, part of which is on raised flooring. The ground floor also has a disabled WC as well as 2 dumbwaiters, a rear fire escape and goods in entrance to the rear corner where there is a hoist for taking deliveries together with a staircase to FF level.

There is a staircase leading from the raised flooring in the centre of the trading area to first floor level where further Male and Female WC’s are provided. The first floor also houses the cellar, 3 storage rooms, a boiler room, office and an extensive commercial kitchen.

The premises recently underwent an extensive refurbishment.
