Cleator is situated on the A5086 which connects to the A66 running to Penrith and the M6 motorway, and the A595 to Carlisle and the M6 motorway.

DESCRIPTION
The proposed scheme consists of two commercial buildings situated within the successfully redeveloped Cleator Mills Business Park. Building A is 526 sq m (5,666 sq ft), whilst Building B is 322 sq m (3,472 sq ft). 60 car parking spaces are proposed which includes additional EV and accessible parking. The proposed scheme also includes landscaped outside areas with seating and planting.
Buildings A and B will be predominantly timber-framed structures, incorporating extensive glazed façades to create a light, open, and welcoming environment. The buildings will be clad in perforated Corten steel, providing a distinctive contemporary feel. The design has been carefully developed to complement the neighbouring historic former mill, delivering a modern architectural response that respects and enhances the site's industrial heritage.
Originally constructed as a flax mill, the site was later acquired by Kangol and used for manufacturing operations until the factory closed in 2009. Since then, the site has undergone substantial redevelopment, transforming it into a thriving business park with further opportunities for commercial growth and investment.
