Croce is an excellent location as it with 5 minutes drive of Menaggio (3 km) and 10 minutes drive of Porlezza (8 km) both of which have extensive facilities that would be expected of two main centres. Porlezza has a stunning promenade overlooking Lake Lugano and is one of the last towns in Italy before the Swiss border. Menaggio located at the heart of the lake has an array of restaurants, bars, supermarket, pharmacy, banks, ferry boat service, lido and mini-golf.
Croce is also the location of Italy's second oldest golf course and visitors are welcome to play a round, hire clubs, trollies/buggies and enjoy the fantastic panoramic views especially fro the 19th hole in the comfort of the original club house
Whilst Croce has a small centre (bus stop, restaurants and bar, grocery shop) it is only minutes away by car from the larger centres it is possible to access the local Hospital in the area by foot.
