The large garden at the rear of the cottage has been separated from the house and will be maintained by the National Trust with managed and staff opening to the public and local community groups.

The main entrance to the house leads in to the hallway with a reception room on either side. The room to the left is dual aspect with a feature fireplace (now ornamental), and the one to the right also with ornamental fireplace. To the rear of the house is a large family kitchen. Newly fitted with an array of base and eye level cabinets, and butler sink. There is space for appliances but the tenant must provide their own. The original stove has been left in situ but it has been decommissioned and no longer serviceable.

There is a separate utility room with space for washing machine and dryer, a second basin and boiler cupboard.

The bathroom comprises of a suite with hand basin, bath with fixed rain shower over and a separate hand held attachment. There is a separate WC

Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, one is again dual aspect, both have cast iron fireplaces (not usable) and array of sockets and aerial.

There is a third room which could be used as a cot room / office.

The property has been decorated in neutral colours throughout and is available immediately.

About The National Trust, Swindon

Heelis, Kemble Drive, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2NA

The National Trust is the largest conservation charity in Europe, and our purpose is to look after places of historic interest or natural beauty for the benefit of the nation. We do this through the ownership and management of special places. Our properties include over 25,000 buildings, of which more than 5,000 are houses and cottages.

All National Trust properties are different. Each has its own character and individual circumstances. This is the very diversity and local distinctiveness that the Trust celebrates and protects through its conservation work. The rental income we receive from our let properties assists directly in the furtherance of our core purpose, conservation.

The role that tenants play in enabling the Trust to deliver its core aims and objectives is vital. Without their commitment to the preservation of our properties the Trust simply could not achieve the significant amount of conservation and preservation that it delivers on an annual basis. As such the Trust grants initial tenancies of 6 to 12 months following which, on the assumption both parties are content with the situation, longer occupation is often encouraged.

National Trust properties advertised on rightmove.co.uk will be located across England and Wales and in order to contact the local office dealing with the letting, you should download the brochure available for each property.

It should be noted that the Trust does not act as an agent for any third party in the letting of property.
