Almogía is a typically Spanish whitewashed village located in the hills above Malaga, some 30 minutes drive from the city, beach and the airport. The village has a number of bars and restaurants, great places to stop and relax while you spend some time with the locals enjoying the tapas and Malaga wine. The area is quite magnificent with stunning views everywhere you look, especially of the reservoir and dam which can be seen from the main road on the drive from Malaga. Not only does Almogía have really good road link to Malaga, it is also less than an hour from Antequera. You can take the mountain road through the stunning scenery of the El Torcal National Park.
