Agios Athanasios is a municipality in the Limassol province and it is built 3 kilometers northeast of the city, in a small valley with hills. The Municipality of Agios Athanasios today (2018) is considered to be one of the most developed areas of Limassol. The history of the village dates back to the early Modern Greek times.
