Description

"We have lived in Manor Road for the last 15 years and have watched our children grow and make connections in the area. They attended local schools, Bishop Road Primary and Redland Green Secondary. The neighbourhood is vibrant, yet peaceful, with the amenities of the Gloucester Road on your doorstep. The house is rich in history of which we have the original deeds dating back to the 1890's. The street is very friendly: we hold a street party once a year and there is an active WhatsApp group which warmly welcomes newcomers to the street."

Manor Road is a popular residential street well placed behind the ever-popular Gloucester Road with its array of independent shops and café’s such as FED 313, Boston Tea Party and Pizzarova. Gloucester Road has an unbelievable choice of thriving independent Bristol businesses, whilst nearby Ashley Down is also home to some of the city’s best pubs, such as The Lazy Dog. This part of Bishopston is popular with families and is a short walk to several local schools:, Brunel Field, Sefton Park, Bishop Road, St Bonaventure’s and Ashley Down. The area is well-placed for commuters with buses running both ways on Gloucester Road and numerous cycle routes. There is also excellent access to the M4 and M5 motorways, Aztec West, Southmead Hospital and Cribbs Causeway. It is ideally situated for green spaces such as Horfield Common, Purdown, St Andrews Park, The Downs and the Blaise Castle Estate. The local County Cricket Ground offers domestic and international sporting events and is located within walking distance of the property and is also home to a gym. This is an area that offers so much variety on the doorsteps and a brilliant community with lots of local events.
