Radnage is a small peaceful rural village, less than 2 miles from the larger village of Stokenchurch, with a 12th Century church & two thriving pubs, and within easy reach of the main towns of High Wycombe & Marlow, within 7 & 9 miles respectively. The nearest railway Station is at Saunderton about 4 miles away, which connects to the Chiltern Line (via Princes Risborough) to London Marylebone. The M40 motorway for the London, Heathrow or Oxford commuter is approx. 2.5 miles at J5 Stokenchurch. For families, the village has a well-regarded combined school, whilst High Wycombe has a selection of well-known schools including Royal Grammar School & John Hampden for boys, Wycombe High School for girls, as well as the renowned private Abbey school for girls.
Local recreation facilities include walking, cycling & riding in the nearby Hambleden valley; golf at Wycombe Heights & Harleyford, in Marlow; a variety of sports clubs for all activities in both Marlow & High Wycombe as well as the High Wycombe Leisure Centre at Marlow Hill, and the National Sports Centre at Bisham Abbey.
Directions
From the centre of High Wycombe proceed west on the A40 towards Oxford, pass out of the town, continue through the villages of West Wycombe and Piddington, continue towards Stokenchurch, pass the Studley Green Garden Centre and turn right after a few hundred yards into City Road, signposted Radnage. Continue down City Road and take the third main turning right into Green End Road and Little Meadow is on the right-hand side after about half a mile.
Alternatively, if travelling from London on the M40 (or the from the Marlow area, take the M40 from J4 Handy Cross) towards Oxford & Birmingham, leave the motorway at J5 Stokenchurch and take the A40 back towards High Wycombe. On leaving the village of Stokenchurch turn left into City Road signposted Radnage, and follow the directions as above.
