Antiparos is a relatively small island in the southern Aegean Sea within the cluster of the Cyclades. It is adjacent to Paros island; it takes only seven minutes to reach Antiparos from Pounta harbour of Paros by vessel. The geophysical beauty of Antiparos is perfect for any outdoor activities enthusiast and nature zealot ranging from water sports such as scuba diving to kite surfing, gentle hike, geology and speleology. As a matter of fact, Antiparos boasts the oldest stalagmite in Europe in Antiparos Cave within the Agios Ioannis knoll: a pantheon of stalactites and stalagmites or the numerous sea caves waiting for a modern «Robinson Crusoe» to explore them. Antiparos Chora, the capital of Antiparos, is a picturesque provincial town holding interesting historical background such as the fifteenth century Venetian Castle and the Historical and Folkloric Museum of Antiparos. There are also three tiny islets west of Antiparos island; 1) Despotiko 2) Tsimintiri (between Antiparos and Despotiko) and 3) Strongylo (West of Despotiko) which afford to make you feel as being a V.I.P. with its own “private” islet.
