Description
Tucked away in a peaceful cul de sac in the popular village of Draycott is this spacious extended detached family home.
The property has been thoughtfully extended in the past to provide generous and versatile living space, arranged over two floors and measuring just under 1,900 sq ft. The accommodation briefly comprises: entrance hallway with oak flooring, a comfortable living room with feature gas fire, separate dining room, study, fitted utility room, downstairs WC and a large kitchen/breakfast room. Upstairs there is a family bathroom and four bedrooms, all of which our doubles, and the master bedroom benefits from a large en suite shower room.
The house retains a number of attractive features from previous improvements, including oak frame feature window, granite kitchen work surfaces, integral appliances, ample built-in storage and quality finishes throughout. A recent addition is a new boiler fitted in 2024.
Outside, the property enjoys a quiet position in the cul de sac with lovely views of the southern escarpment of the Mendip Hills. To the front there is brick-paved off-street parking leading to a garage, while the rear garden offers a mix of lawn and patio, established planting including fruit trees – making it an excellent private outdoor space for families or entertaining.
Draycott itself is a sought-after village with local amenities close at hand, and is well placed for commuting to Cheddar, Wells, Weston-super-Mare, Bath and Bristol, as well as the M5 and Bristol Airport. The surrounding countryside provides a wealth of walking, riding and outdoor pursuits, with the Mendip Hills offering a particularly scenic backdrop.
