Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Central location, close to multiple transport connections (Beryl bikes for hire, train station, multiple bus stops), close to essential cheap groceries (Aldi, Sainsburys, various independent shops on London road offering options from around the world), cafes and restaurants, pubs and more. The beach is 10-15min away maximum on foot. The area feels safe for a city.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and well. Any issues are communicated to us quickly by email. Things are usually fixed quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

To be honest, all has been well. No traps, no learning points, the contract is sensible and no surprise fees etc.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Block House is located in a very convenient area with everything close by. There are many local shops, restaurants, and cafés within walking distance, and transport links are very good — it’s easy to get around the city. The area feels safe and friendly, and I rarely experience any noise or anti-social behaviour. Parking can be a bit limited at times, but overall it’s a lovely place to live

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team has been excellent. Whenever I reported an issue, it was handled quickly and professionally. Brunilda and Roben especially have been amazing — they always respond promptly and make sure everything is sorted out efficiently

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known earlier how supportive and friendly the staff are — it would have made my decision even easier! Also, the area is much quieter and more convenient than I expected, with everything close by.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is a great range of shops including both convenience and larger stores in very close proximity. Transport is also very convenient with multiple bus stops situated right outside the property and Brighton train station being less than a 10 minute walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All problems that have been reported were responded to either on the spot or within the same day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Slightly disappointing that the roof terrace barbecue isn’t able to be used due to a scheduled refurbishment which we were not aware of, nonetheless the space is still very nice to use.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Blockhouse is centrally located in Brighton. It's easy to get to the North Laine shops, or get to Brighton Station for longer trips or commuting to London. There are cafés and pubs nearby, plus a Picturehouse Cinema and lots of independent stores.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and efficiently. A microwave was provided quickly. A fix for opening and closing doors was quick.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That events being arranged for residents are put on small posters somewhere near a lift....

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good: • lots of cafes and a great location. • busy in the day, yet quiet at night. • lots of things to do here. Bad: • none - we love living here!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, any issue is quickly addressed. The maintenance companies used are very friendly and efficient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wished we knew how windy Brighton would be. It wouldn’t have stopped us moving here, but we could have prepared more (windbreaker, shelter for plants on the balcony etc
