The property is located on the edge of the village with plenty of countryside walks on the doorstep.  Yet, the shops and services of the small bastide town of Pellegrue are nearby. Pellegrue is set among vineyards in the Gironde countryside, close to Bordeaux wine country, and within easy reach of cultural centres such as Saint-Émilion and Bergerac.

The riverside town of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande is about 15 minutes away and is known for its large Saturday market, considered one of the best in the region. Other nearby towns include Duras, Saint-Émilion (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and Castillon-la-Bataille, which has a train station with direct links to Bordeaux and Bergerac. Monségur also hosts an annual summer jazz festival.

Bergerac airport is about 45 minutes by car, and Bordeaux airport is around 1 hour and 10 minutes away.
