Description

'We love our home because of the garden, living in a woodland setting, and the feeling of 'being off the beaten track'. We enjoy relaxing in the conservatory and watching the birds. Our house feels spacious and yet 'cosy' especially when we light the fire! We have enjoyed many large family gatherings here too.'

The home

This 1950s detached home sits centrally on its large plot. The house has been extended to the ground floor to give a versatile space, suitable for living space or as a bedroom or self-contained annexe, with its own entrance to the side, a shower room adjacent and a utility room suitable for conversion into a kitchenette. There is a lovely homely feel to this house, with a bay-fronted, dual-aspect living room to the front, overlooking the woodland to the front; a view upon a pleasingly changing landscape throughout the year. The ground floor is also home to a modern kitchen, dining room and south-easterly facing conservatory. To the first floor there are three bedrooms and a spacious family bathroom, with both a bath and walk in shower. Windows to the older part of the house have been recently replaced with modern double glazing and throughout the house, love and care has been devoted to its upkeep.

The outside

This home is situated on a generous plot, affording parking for around four vehicles. There is then garden space to the front, side and rear of the house, meaning the sun can be enjoyed throughout the day from different spots in the garden, with both lawned and paved areas. The size of the garden and the variety of different spaces make the garden a thriving home to several established trees and shrubs, as well as a well stocked large fish pond.

Living in Clevedon - A vibrant seaside community

This section of Old Park Road is a popular woodland stretch, with homes with large plots enjoying a private feeling brought by the space between homes and the benefits of the biodiversity in the immediate area.

This peaceful part of Clevedon is ideal for those seeking a quiet setting with plenty of walking and running routes, while still being close to the town’s popular shops, cafés, and restaurants. Hill Road and Alexandra Road are easily accessible and offer a wonderful mix of independent boutiques, bookshops, and eateries — including local favourites like Scuzzi, Murray’s, and Escala tapas bar, as well as Fawn Coffee Shop for your morning flat white.

The seafront, Pier, and Poet’s Walk are all within easy reach, showcasing Clevedon’s stunning natural beauty and coastal charm. Access to Portishead is straightforward via the nearby coastal path and coast roads leading toward Redcliffe Bay, while the town centre and waterfront can be reached comfortably on foot, by bike, bus, or car. From this immediate position, one can walk through the woods, crossing only Valley Road to join up with Court Woods and enjoy the miles of woodland there, which in turn links up with Cadbury Camp Lane and the fantastic 14th Century Black Horse pub.

While Clevedon is ideally positioned for commuters to Bristol, Cardiff, or London, it has evolved into a thriving town in its own right. Full of character and community spirit, it’s a dynamic seaside town with a rich history, picturesque surroundings, and a vibrant independent scene.
