Description
Buckfastleigh is a small friendly town on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park. It has a good selection of shops and amenities that are virtually on the doorstep whilst the larger town of Totnes is just a 20 minute drive. The picturesque open spaces of Dartmoor are a short drive away and the coast at Torbay and the South Hams around forty minutes drive. The A38 at Dartbridge gives quick, easy access to both Plymouth and Exeter.
This delightful grade II listed cottage, situated just off the town centre, is believed to date back several centuries and offers cottage features including a large fireplace with wood-burner, some small-pane windows and irregular shaped rooms.
The property has been enlarged and modernised to a high standard throughout. The kitchen is a particularly impressive room with roof light windows, bi-fold doors opening to the garden and contemporary units with breakfast bar. The bathroom is equally as well fitted and the property has mainly neutral décor throughout. There is a gas fired heating system and electric underfloor heating to the kitchen and bathroom.
Outside, the partly walled rear garden is attractively laid to paving and an excellent size for a town property. There is a useful stone store with water tap and we understand there is rear pedestrian access.
